Environmental Law Our attorneys have been involved with environmental projects since the early 1970s, including compliance with federal and state hazardous waste regulations, Superfund litigation, Brownfields redevelopment projects, landfill closures, resource recovery facilities, highway construction, airport sitings, tidal and freshwater wetland applications, the preparation and review of environmental impact statements and a variety of land use applications. The firm provides businesses and individuals with intelligent and effective representation to solve environmental regulatory problems and has a well-known reputation for public-interest work. We devote much of our time to fighting what we consider poor land use, over-development and environmentally harmful planning. We have represented, and often helped form, local groups fighting issues as big as the Shoreham nuclear power plant and as small as a motel proposed on wetlands in Brookhaven.
