Law Student Pro Bono Legal Advocacy

Legal Assistant Katerina Grinko, a Juris Doctor candidate at the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, attended a two-day conference on the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), hosted by the New York City law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP on November 2 – 3, 2013. IRAP is the first organization to provide comprehensive legal representation to refugees from the Middle East. Ms. Grinko is happy to announce that she, along with her fellow members of the Immigration Law Society at Touro Law School, will be establishing a local IRAP Chapter to assist refugees seeking resettlement beginning in January, 2014.

Katerina and her classmates are very excited to begin this pro bono legal advocacy work.
