Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo, LLP Senior Partner David Dubin represented a client who sold two adjacent, vacant lots on Georgica Pond, which closed in December 2025. The properties were sold to the Peconic Land Trust (PLT) for the sum of $55M, after which PLT granted the Town of East Hampton a Conservation Easement so that a 20-acre meadow leading to Georgica Pond will be created by assembling these properties with contiguous lots. This meadow will remain open and available to the public in perpetuity. PLT raised the funds for the purchase from the East Hampton Town, East Hampton Village, and private donors, creating a model for public-private acquisitions of open space in the future.
