On Monday, May 19, Twomey Latham attorney Christina Russo delivered a presentation on Estate Planning to the local community at Longwood Public Library. The event was also broadcast live online. The goal of the event was to educate the public on the building blocks of any estate plan, long-term care planning, and planning for future generations. Ms. Russo shared her expertise on Last Will and Testament, Advance Directives, Revocable Trust, Irrevocable Trust, Medicaid Eligibility, Life Insurance, and Retirement Rules.
Ms. Russo also discussed The Alzheimer’s Association and its mission to provide unwavering support to families and individuals impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Ms. Russo is actively involved with the Alzheimer’s Association, serving on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Chapter, and is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association Legal Industry Leadership Council and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Nationwide Advisory Council.
During the presentation, there were several questions raised by attendees both in-person and online which Ms. Russo answered thoughtfully and thoroughly. Ms. Russo will be conducting another presentation on Estate Planning at Longwood Public Library on Monday, June 16 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm. It will be broadcast live online as well.
