Lorraine Paceleo has been practicing law in New York since 1999, after graduating from St. John’s University School of Law. Lorraine is also a Certified Public Accountant and concentrates her practice in estate administration, fiduciary accountings, tax preparation for estate and trust fiduciaries, and estate planning.
Lorraine has over 20 years of experience in the areas of Trusts and Estates, advising executors and beneficiaries of their liabilities, rights and responsibilities. Lorraine was previously associated with a New York City law firm that concentrated on trusts and estates litigation and has been practicing on the East End of Long Island since she moved in 2014.
Lorraine has served as a financial officer of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association for several years. She has served as a Court Evaluator, Article 81 Guardian, and Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of minor children and incapacitated adults in various Supreme and Surrogate’s Court proceedings.
Lorraine lectured for the National Business Institute on various subjects, including solving probate issues and challenges, estate administration procedures, trust administration, preventing and litigating fiduciary liability, and asset protection in estate planning. She also co-authored an article published in the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates’ Section Spring 2014 newsletter and the Fall 2015 edition of Senior Lawyer titled “Estate Planning and Tax Tips for Non-Traditional Families.”
Originally from Freeport, Lorraine lived in Flushing for approximately 15 years and now lives in Flanders, where she chairs the Beach and Land Preservation Committee of her local civic association.
